This is truly a one-of-a-kind property! 216 hectares (533 acres) consisting of rolling hills, astounding views, waterfalls, a slot canyon, building sites, and springs all just over the ridge from Vilcabamba. With the slot canyon, supreme hiking or horseback trails, views, and waterfalls, this land provides the ultimate private outdoor adventure experience enabling you to discover nature in its entirety every day. There are multiple flat areas spread that throughout this property where you can build houses. You could even create a spread-out family compound. The atmosphere of this property is so serene, peaceful, and pure. At the top of the northern ridge, you can see spectacular views of Vilcabamba, San Pedro and the mountains beyond. Looking south, the views of the Andes mountains are endless. Perched on the top of the world here, this is the ultimate homesite since it has unmatched 360’ views. Imagine waking up to the sun rising over the mountains and soaking in the peaceful quietness around you. Then, as dusk nears, you can revel in the setting sun to the west. Towards the lower part of the property, you will find the tall slot canyon. A little creek flows through it most of the year, providing yet another water source. Just off to one side of this area, following a pathway is an approximately 20-foot-high (6 meter) waterfall which is where the current owners get water for their cows and horses. Continuing upward and eastward, you will come to a very rustic rammed-earth house which is built on another flat area and there is room for another house. Near this flat area is a smaller waterfall, providing a water source for this upper section. This spot it tucked up on the mountainside in the valley, yet you still get amazing views here. Most of the view that you see from this spot belongs to this property. In other words, from here you can see across the valley to another mountainside which belongs to this property. The trail continues from this area roughly following the northern perimeter of the property and eventually bringing you to the flat 360’ view homesite mentioned at the beginning. Coming to the northern ridge, you will start to see glimpses of the Vilcabamba’s valley and the views to the south begin to open up to be even more stunning than they were in the lower sections. Then you will come to the ridge with the awe-inspiring 360’ viewpoint. The mountains around you are magnificent and you feel like you are on top of the world. There is at least one spot in this area where you can build a house. A couple water sources are near this area as well. Continuing along the trail, you will come to the western side of the property which boasts rolling hills and many spots for homes. The views here are yet again marvelous as you can see your mountainside to the east (where the rammed-earth house is) and the mountains to the south. On this western side, there are another couple of springs and another rustic house. The house is made with adobe, brick, and concrete, and is on the western side of the property surrounded by eucalyptus and pine trees and crops. The current owners still come up for overnight stays in this house and the rammed-earth house when they need to check on their crops and cattle. This land is a spectacular opportunity for any nature-enthusiast, someone who wants out of the city to go off-grid and have their own large homestead with organic farming, or anything else you can imagine. You are in your own private valley, yet still relatively close to Vilcabamba for your shopping and social needs.
