You can grow your own food and raise your own animals. A bit of peace and tranquility. ​ Arriving to the property there is a gated entry. From the entrance to the house is a winding driveway. At the end of the driveway, you're parked behind the house where the back of the outdoor living area is located. This 15x5 meter area is fully lined with graval that makes movement in the area easier during the rainy season and incorporates a mature pinetree that was there before building was started. From there, you see the wooden chicken coop that's 4x6 meters above, then the bodega of 4.65x4.1 meters that sits on a cemented foundation of 4.65x5 meters. that bodega is more than spacious enough to be converted into a garage or separated living quarters. Beside the bodega is an outdoor bathroom with shower of 1.75x1. 3 meters that is also fully tiled. Then, an enclosed gated area of 5.5x4.5 meters is between the bathroom and house that could become a future home for dogs. As for the house, it was designed with Vastu principles using exposed bricks, an artesanal susudel brick from Cuenca. This brick is used on the bodega as well. Walking from the back towards the house, you see it has a cemented patio all the way around. Most of the patio is covered by roof. The roof extends anywhere from 1.5 and up to 3.5 meters beyond the outside walls of the house depending on where you are. From there to the north side you can't help but feel like you're in the clouds. The entrance inside is facing east to welcome light and breezes from the sun outside going throughout the inside all day. This leaves the space well lite with natural lighting all day as well. Going inside, you first notice that the house is beautifully floored with glazed terra cotta and the interior brick is completely lacquered. This lacquer protects the bricks and also gives the place a clean glossy look. That, along with the white glossy pvc ceiling and that the house has white finished support columns makes the design all harmonize seamlessly. We walk directly into an open concept living space with a designated kitchen and dining space to the left. Straight ahead on the right is a large living room that faces north with an oversized window to enjoy the outer view of the mountains. Past the living room there are 2 bedrooms separated by a long hall that leads to the full bathroom. You will notice the center of the home has an open space. The bathroom is tiled and has a walk in shower, a toilet, connection for a sink, as well as, washer/dryer. The home includes a walk in pantry and an alter room also. A lighting system is in place for each room and the patio outside, and there's a large flood light overlooking the northeast. The home is fully protected with metal gated bars for every window and a gated security door. Around the outside to the south, there is an outdoor 75x80 centimeter washing sink with 75x110 centimeter attached basin both built with the same visto brick and finished with porcelain tile. A 30 meter cement lined wall and 40 meter cemented canal was constructed for water to drain to the far eastern end of the house to protect from water erosion along that south side. Any water draining from the north and front end goes back towards the pinetree out into a man made rock cascade away from the ground level. There are 2 separate brick septic tanks for the wastewater, one to collect grey water from the sinks, shower and washer, the other for black water from the toilets and outside shower. Higher up above the house level, is a 2.6x3.1 meter roofed brick enclosure on a cemented foundation which houses the primary filtration system and stores a 2500 liter water cystern servicing the house. The water is tapped from the creek and gravity fed down to the filtration system by a thick 1.5 inch hose. The water is then triple filtered using a system manufactured by Evans for use inside and filtered once more using a triple inverse osmosis system for the drinking water. It's the best water you’ll ever have. There are 330 meters total of a 3/4 inch hose drip irrigation system installed on the front (220) and back (110) ends of the house ready for terrace style gardening. The front and back terraces each have it's own on/off valve. From here, you see the roof of the house which covers 19x14 meters below. Then, we can take a short 5 minute hike down towards the creek that adjoins the property with the neighbors' to the two ponds. From the ponds looking down the property are a few immature lemon, orange, and tangerine trees, there are also small banana trees, a couple of tomate de árbol, apple, papaya, and avocado trees. There are few natural waterfalls running along one border of the property. ​​You can have a farm here with its abundant water supply and there's still plenty of room for planting, gardening and growing all you like.
