The walls between the concrete pillars are made of concrete blocks of various thickness. In particular, the walls between the two apartments have a double layer of blocks, to reduce the transmission of sound. The foundation has also been insulated with a plastic sheet, to avoid any moisture being absorbed from the ground. After more than one year, no moisture has been observed coming up the walls. The construction materials have been chosen with the objective of low maintenance and long duration, therefore there is no wood or chalkboard.
