They are easily recognized by their traditional dress, white pants and dark ponchos for men, and brightly colored dresses for women.

While most residents or make the trip to Ibarra or Quito for all but the most common doctor´s visits, for many, the slow pace of life these two Andean towns offer has been just what the doctor ordered.
